ABOUT

In the hungover aftermath of a legendary booze-fest at our friend’s place in Kitchener, Ontario, the morning sunlight cut through cherry-flavoured vape smoke in a living room that doubled as a bedroom. Sprawled across the fake grass carpet, a small group of buddies gathered around a really nice TV—unaware that destiny was about to strike. What played before them was no ordinary YouTube video—it was a display of human endurance, of warriors facing down incredible mountains of meat and bread. It was competitive eating… and it was disgusting.

"How many hotdogs do you think you could eat—realistically?" someone asked. Suddenly, the room went quiet. Eyes narrowed. Minds churned. Someone farted. In that sacred moment of divine inspiration, an idea was forged—not just a contest, but a battle. A true test of stomach, spirit, and sheer mental fortitude. Thus, the ‘Stogahouse Hotdog Eating Contest was born.

What began as a hungover joke has become a tradition of mythic proportions. Now in its third year, it stands as a battleground where legends are made, trophies are claimed, friendships are honoured, and champions are forever remembered. This is more than a competition.

This is glory, with mustard.

Founded in 1918 to help war veterans, it has since expanded to assist children and adults with amputations from all causes. The organization is funded through public donations and its Key Tag Service, which helps return lost keys to their owners.
